In memory of Nancy Takano (1940–2021)
The Harada House Foundation was established in 2017 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation to directly support the preservation of the Harada House. We raise funds to protect and conserve the National Historic Landmark Harada House and its associated archival material collection and legacy. By sharing the Harada family story and its relevance to immigration, housing, civil rights, and social justice, we help today's community in Riverside and those across the country learn from the hard-won lessons of the Harada family.
The Harada House Foundation solicits its support through direct donor solicitation, public grants, and private donations (both financial and in-kind). The Foundation's board of directors participate in events hosted by the local historic preservation community, and are available for further involvement through speaking engagements related to the Harada legacy.
